Wyless completes ClearConnex acquisition and announces key management changes

Lawrence, Massachusetts, USA. April 26, 2012 — Wyless Inc. has announced some key additions and changes to its senior management team this week, and completed the acquisition of a majority stake in ClearConnex, an engineering firm based in Raleigh, North Carolina.
Steve Priestley
Steve Priestley joined the company in April to lead its Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) operations and is responsible for driving all areas of Wyless’ business, focusing on the interaction of Wyless, its customers, channels and partners. Steve has held vice president roles in Enfora in EMEA and globally and was a senior manager at Cisco and Symbol Technologies.
Shelby Noakes
Shelby Noakes joins Wyless in May as vice president, Business Development, Americas. Shelby has a strong background in the M2M Carrier Services business, having spent time with both T-Mobile USA and more recently Rogers Communications, the Canadian mobile operator. Shelby’s role will cover business development, sales and partnerships focusing on the West Coast USA and also the Latin American markets.
Ryan Rangel
Ryan Rangel will join the Wyless management team as vice president, Engineering Services. For the past four years Ryan has run Clearconnex, a full service engineering firm in North Carolina providing embedded device hardware and software design along with licensable ClearCom device management software.
Ryan will continue to run the company as a subsidiary of Wyless.
Ryan Keefe
Ryan Keefe has also been elevated to the role of vice president, Global Business Development. “During Ryan’s past year with Wyless he has been instrumental in engineering our strategic relationships with Telefonica and NEC Corporation,” says Dan McDuffie, CEO of Wyless. He will be responsible for growing the global business with these two partners and building new strategic partnerships with the leading global players in M2M.
Dan adds, “With Ryan’s changing role and the added presence on our management team of some strong industry professionals, we are reinforcing our presence across the globe and the addition of Clearconnex brings Wyless one step closer to being a full end-to-end M2M Managed Services Provider.”
