Semtech Corporation, a provider of high-performance semiconductors powering AI data centre networking and intelligent, connected Internet of Things (IoT) devices worldwide, has announced it has completed a product integration with Palo Alto Networks Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs). Semtech joins an ecosystem of Palo Alto Networks Technology Partners to deliver intelligent and interoperable solutions that help joint customers drive resilience and compliance, securing complex environments.
The integration combines Semtech’s AirLink secure edge 5G/LTE routers and network management portfolio with Palo Alto Networks NGFWs — firewalls that use machine learning for proactive protection and visibility and control — along with Next-Generation Trust Security (NGTS) and Zero Touch Public Key Infrastructure (ZTPKI) solutions to enable operators to scale their connected infrastructure with confidence while reducing complexity and strengthening resilience against evolving threats. As utilities and critical infrastructure operators deploy thousands of connected assets across distributed networks, including wired, cellular and satellite connections, this Zero Trust solution secures these assets at scale, solving a key challenge in operational technology.

Integrated with PAN-OS, security teams gain deep visibility into edge traffic with real-time threat detection and prevention built in. Certificate provisioning, renewals and machine identity management are fully automated through Palo Alto Networks Zero Touch PKI and AirLink management platforms — eliminating manual complexity and enabling consistent, credential secure configuration across thousands of remote field assets.
