IoT Now has hosted a successful ON TREND private evening at Soho House, London, in collaboration with Pelion and Transforma Insights.
The gathering brought together a select group of IoT leaders, industry experts and deployment owners for an evening of insight, discussion and networking focused on the future of connectivity and connected fleet deployments.
Designed to create space for more meaningful conversations than a traditional networking event, the evening combined analyst insight, an expert panel discussion and relaxed networking in an informal setting.
The discussion centred on key findings from The Connected Fleet 2026, a new report from Pelion in partnership with ABI Research. The panel explored some of the most important challenges shaping IoT connectivity at scale, including operating beyond core coverage areas, unstable connectivity, data breach risk, weak threat detection, the IoT expertise gap, the rise of SGP.32 eSIM and growing enterprise interest in MVNOs.
The session was moderated by Andres Pieczanski, Managing Partner at IA Global Capital, and featured contributions from Jim Morrish, Founding Partner at Transforma Insights; Carsten Fischer, Subject Matter Expert at IDEMIA; and Alan Tait, Chief Technology Officer at Pelion.

The event also provided attendees with early access to the report’s findings and the opportunity to discuss the practical realities of scaling connected fleet deployments, from security and reliability to eSIM adoption and provider selection.
IoT Now would like to thank everyone who attended and contributed to the evening. The success of the event reflected the value of bringing senior industry voices together in a focused, conversation-led environment.
The ON TREND private evening marks the first in a new series of curated in-person gatherings from IoT Now, designed to support deeper discussion around the technologies, partnerships and business models shaping the next phase of IoT.
