Doctor Florent Frederix, media directorate-general for the European Commission, will present the policy project of the European Commission with respect to the mass deployment of the emerging internet of things applications (internet connected objects) at the M2M Forum Europe.
The event will run from 6th to 9th June 2011 at Chelsea Football Club in London.
Frederix (pictured) has conducted extensive research into this emerging area. At the forum, he will document ongoing European work and scheduled research and policy activities.
The forum aims to bring together experts in the machine-to-machine market from across Europe and Scandinavia to discuss market opportunities, how to climb the M2M value chain and how to develop strategic alliances with other M2M partners.
“The event will be a great opportunity for M2M stakeholders to share opinions, experiences and best practices in the fast growing 3G M2M and connected devices market,” said Tom Gardner, wholesale sales manager at Three.
Other speakers will include: Marc Overton, VP wholesale, Everything Everywhere; Carlos Julio Lourenco, head of business unit, Optimus; Ana Tavares Lattibeaudiere, head of embedded mobile, GSMA; Sandor Borbas, senior expert on business strategy and marketing, Magyar Telekom; Kim Bybjerg, managing director M2M, KPN; and Mike Short, VP technology, Telefonica O2 UK.
